Film Reviews

For the last ten years, I have been reviewing films for the indie film site Film Radar and Crackpot Press.

Here are some favorites:

Bitch Slap

“This boobs-a-blazing nihilistic action-comedy embraces the‭  ‬genius of Russ Meyer then takes it into the‭ ‬21st century with ‬hysterically cheap green screen effects and‭  ‬razor-tongued dialogue that would make Quentin Tarrantino blush.‭”

I Want Your Money

“The Revolution is Totally 80’s… In a jellybean bag, the movie’s main theme is ‘If you aren’t Ronald Reagan, you can suck it.’ Clinton, Bush, Clinton, Bush, Nixon, Pelosi, Palin  and, especially, Obama, are portrayed as inexperienced nincompoops who could use a few wise words from the Gipper.”

Coraline
“Some little kids are about to get the Holy Jebebus scared out of them.”

Food, Inc.
Farmers are no longer these folkies ‘Farm Aid’ types. In fact, they aren’t even farmers.”

Donkey Punch
“A touching Mediterranean romp where 20 somethings freebase, screw and chop either up with an outboard motor. SPOILER ALERT: There is no donkey.”

American Swing
“How much 70.s hairy, homemade porn do you take in your indie doc??
A lot? Then AMERICAN SWING is for you!”
